Genre Research: Action

 Actions movies focus on combat. Most of these movies include a scene where the protagonist has to choose between staying and fighting, or going home. They're faced with whether to choose freedom and save themselves, or save the others. Even though most actions movies seem like they are about saving the world and cool action scenes. They actually focus on the internal battle the protagonist has with himself. This is one of the elements of Action movies that appeal to me. An example can be found in WW84 where Diana is faced with being selfish and staying with Steve or giving up on him to save the world. In Spider-Man into the spider-verse where miles has to choose between being selfish and only being concerned with himself or becoming Spider-Man and fixing the different universes. Filming AGAIN!

 We're at it again!. today we filmed once more. except unlike last time we actually went to Mac's house. Mac told me and the actors that she has two bedrooms we could use to film the different scenes and certain shots. Once we reached Mac's house we went straight to her guest bedroom and began filming backwards. rather than filming the scenes chronologically like how they were listed in the story board and script. We worked backwards filming the scenes that had high priority. Dream wasn't able to stay long unlike me and Paulanka because her mom had a limited schedule and had to pick her up at 5. school had let out around 3 which barely gave us 2 hours to film. we had to make the most of our time especially since the deadline was fast approaching. we began filming the scene where dream walks into her house and goes to her bedroom. This was actually one of the last scenes but it was the only one that featured just dream alone. The scene portrayed her walking up to her bed...

Planning Blog

   Location- Hagen park, Dairy Queen, Macaria's House.  Time- We will film from 3:00- 5:30 on Tuesday 3/1. We will film from 2:00-5:00 at my house on 3/6.  Date-  We will start filming all the scenes at the park and Dairy queen on Tuesday 3/1 and we will reserve Tuesday 3/7 just in case we haven't finished filming the park scenes.  We will film the scenes at my house on Sunday 3/6  and reserve 3/13 as a backup date for the scenes at my house.  We will start editing on Monday 3/17 and continue until the 3/28  Actors- Paulanka Bastien and Dream Grant  Props- The main prop we will use is a diary. We will also use pictures of the characters incorporated in the end of the film.  Costume- They will be wearing casual wear. Paulanka's outfit will change throughout the film as she's trying to imitate Dream.  Health and safety- My parents will be supervising us at the park with a first aid kit present.
