AICE Media Studies

 

 This is the music video blog. I cant believe I'm  finally done with this. I think I stressed myself out with this project. I'm relieved to finally wash my hands free of this music video. I feel like since this is the longest production I've done for this class it was the most taxing. But in all honesty the project sort of felt like it flew over my head. I think our video is good even though there are numerous errors. I honesty advise not paying too much attention to them. Anyway, enjoy!

Ladies and gentlemen, we've made it. We've reached the final production blog YAAAAAYYYYY! I actually meant to publish this blog yesterday, but I was so caught up with math homework that when  I finally got around to it, it was 11:57. Sucks I know -_- but life goes on. The video is finished we ended up not having to go film another day because the scenes were enough. I was not expecting that but I cant say I can complain. Overall I would say that the final product turned out better than I thought it would. I actually really like it. The editing process was a little hard to do simple because I did not like seeing my face in a video numerous times. Especially having to act out romantic scenes. I think Mac had the same issue. My group members were fun. Though I love them I don't think we were compatible for this project. There were a lot of issues and it could have been better I think. I enjoyed working with friends but it was hard to stay focused at times and I think that'

 This is becoming a little bit taxing. the project is coming along smoothly. Although I wish my group could have better communication there's nothing I can really complain about. At this point we just have to wait and see. Progress is slow but steady, at this rate I think we'll be done in time. Since i already did a filming blog and an editing one i guess ill talk about my day. Today my classes all went as planned. They all lasted an hour and a half and they were all boring. Today was more of just an eye opening experience of just how much work I have to complete before winter break. I feel stacked up with homework and test reviews and its exhausting at this point. I had to write a paper today for english and i almost broke down crying midway. Its been that bad. But only one more week before break. I honestly cant wait. But thinking about next week reminds me that the media studies project is due then. I don't know how I'm going to do on that aspect cause at this point

 Ew, I thought the title was going to be catchy... It wasn't. But that's besides the point. what matters now is that my group started editing. Even though we technically haven't finished filming my group wanted to try editing the clips together to see if we really even needed more clips. Since Aj wasn't at the filming, she opted to do the editing. So I sent her all the clips we filmed and instructed her on how to edit them together. I really think our idea is coming together, the shots were good. A little but cheesy but overall good. I'm super excited to see the finished project. even though our group wasn't prefect, i realized that we worked better when there's a larger group of people contributing rather than just 2. I spent most of the class period talking with friends but i was able to look over on some of the editing AJ started. I was not really able to send her all the videos during the day due to the bad WIFI. But once I got home the clips were done a

 ME! Finally, we began filming. I think wee expected to finish up all the filming on that day but we only got halfway done. I don't think we were as productive as we would've hoped. We ended up having to cut some scenes in the story board and combine them with others. Like when David is mesmerized by me, while mac looks at him. we had to combine that into one scene so that when we began editing it didn't  look as choppy. and flowed smoother. Since Aj was sick and couldn't film, my group recruited the help of Madison to film for us. Since Madison was only available for that one day we made sure to film all the scenes that required all three of us to be in the shot then. Looking back I'm glad we were able to get those scenes done on day 1 since it looks like were going to need more time filming. Pretty early on we had some confusion with the story board and location. Especially concerning which part of the song each scene was going to land on. We ended up having to pl
