Storyboard Blog

For our commercial, Chris and I designed a storyboards to set up our ideas. In the first scene you hear the footsteps of feet on grass. Then you can feet (which are sporting Nike's) walking on the grass, this walk progresses to a jog and then to a steady run. In the second scene you see these feet running and then you see them about to kick a soccer ball. As soon as the foot connects with the ball the screen cuts out and you see a black screen. Then on the black screen you see the word evolve typed onto it, followed by the definition. In the third scene the black screen disappears and is replaced by someone hitting a baseball and sprinting, and just like in the last scene, the image cuts out and is once again replaced by a blank black screen. Except this time the typed word and definition are ignite. On scene number four, it starts with someone about to run a race. This time when the pistol sounds and people start to sprint it cuts to the black screen and shows the word and the definition for the word accelerate. The next scene shows someone casually walking up the stairs in Nike shoes as the words "Nike" fade in over the scene. This is followed by small cut scenes arranged in a grid of different active movements to demonstrate the universally used shoe, with the words "just do it" fading into the center just like the "Nike". Then the screen shuts out for a few seconds before you hear footsteps once again, like in the first scene. Except this time instead of someone walking on grass, a person is carrying a box for an elderly or disabled or sick etc. individual.
