Planning begins

Amid conducting all the necessary research to produce our music video my group developed our plan to produce our video...

The key components to adequately plan our music video is to set up our costuming, props, locations, backup plans, and a schedule

costuming: the video will focus on average teenagers so costuming will be standard clothing for teenagers, casual wear

props: the hoodie that serves as a costume will also serve as a significant prop in the music video, there is a significant line in the song that reads, "I still remember the third of December, me in your sweater..." This hoodie directly corresponds to the line.  

Schedule: 

  • November 12 - my group and I selected our song and genre 
  • November 12 - research was conducted to gain insight and idea on our music video
  • November 16 - the planning phase of the music video began
  • November 19 - my group and I create our storyboard for our music video 
  • December 3 - filming begins 
  • December 4 - editing 
  • December 5 - editing 
  • December 6 - editing 
  • December 7 - final cuts and edits to any music video sectors

Locations: Hagen Park in Wilton Manors, Florida 

Backup Plan: 
  •  If in the event that we cannot film on the desired date, the latest we will film will be the 5th of December
  • If in the event we cannot film at the desired location due to weather circumstances, we will resume filming into the pavilion area or use up one of our rescheduled filming days

SO MUCH WALKING!

  Today, Chris and I went to work on filming our commercial for Nike shoes. First, we went out to the softball field behind building 17 to film some shots. These shots consisted of him (he was wearing the Nike shoes) performing different drills and routines with the feet, such as jogging in place, side hopping, and foot and leg stretches. I used my camera to film these shots, focusing on his feet in order to emphasize the shoes. The shots of Chris doing these exercises are going to be in a compilation of shots near the end of the commercial. When we finished these shots, we walked over to towards the track and football field. As we walked, I recorded audio of my footsteps in the grass to use in the video. When we arrived at the track, we set our bags down and made our way down to where the starting line was. Then, I filmed Chris getting in a starting position and then breaking into a sprint. Filming AGAIN!

 We're at it again!. today we filmed once more. except unlike last time we actually went to Mac's house. Mac told me and the actors that she has two bedrooms we could use to film the different scenes and certain shots. Once we reached Mac's house we went straight to her guest bedroom and began filming backwards. rather than filming the scenes chronologically like how they were listed in the story board and script. We worked backwards filming the scenes that had high priority. Dream wasn't able to stay long unlike me and Paulanka because her mom had a limited schedule and had to pick her up at 5. school had let out around 3 which barely gave us 2 hours to film. we had to make the most of our time especially since the deadline was fast approaching. we began filming the scene where dream walks into her house and goes to her bedroom.
