LAST AND FINAL

Ladies and gentlemen, we've made it. We've reached the final production blog YAAAAAYYYYY! I actually meant to publish this blog yesterday, but I was so caught up with math homework that when  I finally got around to it, it was 11:57. Sucks I know -_- but life goes on. The video is finished we ended up not having to go film another day because the scenes were enough. I was not expecting that but I cant say I can complain. Overall I would say that the final product turned out better than I thought it would. I actually really like it. The editing process was a little hard to do simple because I did not like seeing my face in a video numerous times. Especially having to act out romantic scenes. I think Mac had the same issue. My group members were fun. Though I love them I don't think we were compatible for this project. There were a lot of issues and it could have been better I think. I enjoyed working with friends but it was hard to stay focused at times and I think that's part of the reason why our music video is less than ideal. The project was fun to film but I don't think I'll ever be able to listen to "Heather" anymore. Well without feeling sick to my stomach.

 So today I had my chemistry teacher review my film overall she said she liked it. I reached out to her during study hall and had her watch it. It want fully edited yet so obviously i didn't have my expectations to high. I was shocked to find out that she actually really liked our movie and the plot as well. She didn't have many critics besides the obvious but one thing she did recommend was changing the placement of the mirror clip. she agreed with me that it didn't really fit and she even advised cutting it out of the movie. but i really liked it so we compromised. the initial placement of the clip was at the end just before the film ended. But Ms. Ruwe recommended putting it in between the over the shoulder scene with dream drawing x's on paulanka's face and the scene with the tilt shot showing dreams room/work space. she said it would help convey the scene as a montage so that the audience would not be too hung up on the fact that the end is not as chronological...

   I started filming on March 4th, 2022. I filmed at the hagen park location and we were able to complete many scenes. We filmed the scene where the characters "first met", a montage of the characters as they were best friends, and back up clips just incase something didn't fit in well while editing. We were able to incorporate many different camera angles. We incorporated an over the shoulder, low, eye level, and medium shot camera angles. We followed the guide of the storyboard which made the filming process much easier. It went very smoothly and we made sure to film the same scene from multiple different camera angles to experiment which angle would fit best for the scene. We still have to film the scene where the characters had their second coincidental interaction with each other at the dairy queen, when they're reminiscing, and when dream walks into her room incorporating the horror element. Filming and planning

The other day Macaria and I were planning on when to have our next film day. We both had busy schedules so most weekends were unavailable. We had planned to film the Tuesday of spring break. But last minute I found out I was going to Jamaica for the entire break. So once again we had to reschedule. We ended up having no more available weekends. Me and mac ended up scouring the school calendar for available weekdays where we had half days or no school days. It was especially difficult to plan when we had to also incorporate the schedules of the actors. Dream and Paulanka also had busy schedules. We ultimately decided to meet up on the Monday after spring break to film. I hope things work out especially since we have a lot more material to film in order for our movie to be successful. We want to film in the morning from 11am to 8pm so well see how it goes.
